Compared to some people, I am lucky to not be handicap in many ways. Even though I have some handicaps and disadvantages, mine are minor things. One disadvantage that I have is that I have braces therefore I can not eat certain foods. This is a very small disadvantage but it is still one. Another one is that I am a horrible public speaker. In and outside of school and I am awful at publicly speaking which I guess is a pretty big deal. Public speaking is something that all people should be able to do well. I also am handicap when it comes to math. I really do not like math and neither am I good at it. In school this is really gets me because I have to take math as a class and be graded upon how I do. Outside of school math still messes with me by being everywhere. One disadvantage that is also an advantage is my shyness but at the same time my openness.
When I first met people I can be very shy and this sometimes makes it harder for me to met new people. But at the same time I can be very open and friendly. I think a lot of how I act around new people has to do with the context that I am in. When I meet new people at camp I am very open and not shy, but then if I meet someone at a party for my parents I tend to close up.
I also have some advantages. I am very athletic, especially when it comes to running. I could probably run faster than the average American teenage. Another advantage that I have, not to be rude, is that I do not have any mental disabilities. I do not mean that in a mean way but I am not deaf, blind, or mute or anything else along those lines therefore I have an advantage. One final advantage is that my family is not too rich but not are we too poor. We are relatively comfortable.
